(2/9/2002)
What a season! Here's some random pictures and thoughts from the 2001 season, from Mike and Clint as well as our readers.

Mike's friends Tim & Mary are the official Florida hosts for GoPats.com, and this year had a Pats Super Bowl party. Tim is in the center of the picture, holding the newest Pats fan, his son Patrick. The blimp was courtesy of Heineken - a long story! |

This one is great - John from Miami is a big Pats fan and made a "visual" bet with a Dolphins fan - and John won! He wrote to us: "Being a Patriots fan living in Florida just got a whole lot more fun! The poor guy in this picture is a big Miami fan. As luck would have it, there was a traffic backup when he had to fufill his bet."

We receive emails all the time from Patriot Nation, and here's a couple we'd like to pass along.
First, a joke. But could it be real?
Quarterback Kurt Warner, after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God started showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Rams flag in the window.
"This house is yours for eternity, Kurt," said God. "This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here."
Kurt felt special, indeed, and walked up to his house. On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner. It was a 3-story mansion with a Red, White and Blue sidewalk, 50-foot tall flagpole with an enormous Pats logo flag, and in every window, a Blue helmet with a Patriots symbol on it.
Kurt looked at God and said, "God, I'm not trying to be ungrateful, but I have a question. I was an All-Pro Quarterback, I won a Super Bowl, and I even went to the Hall of Fame."
God said, "So, what do you want to know, Kurt?"
"Well, why does Tom Brady get a better house than me?"
God chuckled and said, "Kurt, that's not Tom Brady's house; it's mine."
For John from Phoenix, the Patriots win in Super Bowl XXXVI paid off his loyalty in many ways!
I've been a Patriots fan for 25 years (33 years old). Even after I moved away from Maine, I've been very loyal. I had to e-mail somebody regarding this story that is "in" w/ dealing with the Patriots - and you're the one.
Before the season started I went to Vegas and put down $20 for them to win the Super Bowl. At 60 to 1 odds, I'm going back there next weekend to collect my $1200. Yes I was intoxicated at the time of the bet (being in Vegas who isn't), yes my wife said "why throw away $20 like that", yes the guy across the betting counter said "like this will happen" laughing as I made my bet.
Now I'm laughing all the way to the bank.
