2000 Free Agents
(1/6/2000)

The Patriots have eight players who are going to be unrestricted free agents. They are wide receivers Troy Brown and Shawn Jefferson, safety Lawyer Milloy, cornerback Steve Israel, linebackers Tedy Bruschi and Marty Moore, guard Heath Irwin and defensive lineman Chris Sullivan.

While the unrestricted free agents can go anywhere, the same is not quite true for the five restricted free agents New England has. Safety Chris Carter, linebacker Vernon Crawford, running back Derrick Cullors, offensive tackle Ed Ellis and defensive tackle Brandon Mitchell all have three accrued seasons and are free to negotiate and sign with any team.

Who will stay, and who will go? Stay tuned to GoPats.com through the off-season for more information! In the meantime, read this story from FOX Sports New England that could provide info on these decisions.
